Rationale Magazine
About Rationale Print E-mail

Rationale Magazine is LSE’s only student-authored and student-published economics magazine. It has been the proud production of the Economics Society since the year 2008-2009 and is continuing to expand with the perseverance and innovation of its writers and officers.

The magazine is an excellent opportunity for students who wish to publish their work in one of the most prestigious student-authored publications in the UK. The magazine gives its writers the freedom to write on a wide array of economic issues from current affairs to economic research to interviews and book reviews. Past articles have included interviews with leading academics such as Professors Alwyn Young and Danny Quah, evaluations of cutting-edge PhD research, and reports from major events such as the G20 summit.

All LSE students, regardless of year or course, are welcome to submit their articles for publication. Every article will be evaluated by a Rationale editor. We are simply looking for well-written articles about interesting, economics-related subjects. If your article meets these broad requirements, it will be recommended for publication. Successful articles will be published in either our March, July, or December issues.

Rationale's latest issue is 2009, Issue 3.  Cover stories included:

• America's Debt Crisis

• Lessons from the Crisis

• Economics of Slacking

• Review: Superfreakonomics
